*UPDATED 11/13//2019
South Washington County Schools is sharing its 2018-2019 World's Best Workforce Summary Report which can be seen here in the annual report to the community. The team responsible for reporting on the World's Best Workforce 2018-2019 has combined the traditional requirements of the annual report on curriculum and instruction, reporting on the district's strategic plan, Together We Are SoWashCo, and the requirements of the World's Best Workforce Report Summary.
Description: Minnesota's World's Best Workforce (WBWF) legislation requires that Districts set annual goals for student performance in the areas of:
-
Academic Achievement Gaps
-
Kindergarten Readiness
-
Literacy Attainment by third-grade
-
College and Career Readiness Attainment
-
High School Graduation
This document describes District 833 measures and related goals for each of these areas. District 833 has set goals for WBWF based on legislation and the goals set forth in the North Star Accountability System from MDE. These statewide goals have been established with a clear focus on ensuring excellence and equity for all Minnesota students. The goals outlined below require that all students reach a high level of success and take into account the accelerated improvement that is necessary for some student groups in order to close gaps. While all groups are expected to improve, student groups that are currently achieving at lower levels than their counterparts have the highest expected gains.
Academic Achievement Gaps:
Goal Statement(s):

We will increase the percentage of all students meeting or exceeding state proficiency targets on state accountability measures in reading from 69.7% in the Spring of 2017 to 90% in the Spring of 2025, a total increase of 20.3% and an annual increase of 2.5%, with each student group above 85% in the Spring of 2025.
